Board Member

Leslie M. Friday is the proud mother of eight children. Leslie’s purpose in life is to serve and embrace the freedom to help others. Thus, her greatest accomplishments have been overcoming fear and understanding forgiveness and the advantages that accompany living fearless and forgiving.

Mrs. Friday is a tenured school secretary at Southwest High School, an executive board member of the Faxon Elementary School Site Council, a member of the Urban Success Inc. board and the founder and CEO of Platinum Beauties; a non-profit mentoring and community activist organization.

She is partnered with several non profit and community organization such as the National Congress of Black Women Inc. the Kansas City Chapter, Faxon Caring Communities and LINC (Local Investment Commission), the ROC (Reclaiming Our Community) and the Kansas City Credit Union. Leslie understands that through these partnership which mirrors similar passions to help make the community a better place to live, work and grow a healthy family; the mission can be accomplished.
